It is November 23, and I have officially been a Peace Corps Volunteer for 17 days! how does it feel to be a real PCV now you may ask, well I don't think I can adequately answer that right now. But I can answer what I'vee been up to since my last post. LOTS!
My last few weeks in site were INSANE! I got my site assignment of where I'd live for my two year service, went on a trip to my site and met the schools I'd work at, had a great Halloween in my training town, of and I was SWORN IN! Talk about busy busy! Although I was only in my training town for three months, I didn't want to leave. My host family was incredible, the town was amazing, and I enjoyed the routine I had going on. But alas, it had to happen and I tried my best to enjoy those last weeks with everyone before we embarked on our big adventure.
Now I could just ramble on and on and bore you away forever from my blog, but instead I'll just lure you in for eternity with PICTURES!!!
Here is a pic of the Nicaraguan Map with all of the environment section from Nica 64. Since I can't officially tell you where I live, I'll just let you look for my name. *HINT* I live in the capital of my department.

My training town pets didn't want me to leave.
So this happened! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I always enjoy making my own costume. My site mate and I were quite proud of ourselves for creating this very last minute despite everything else we had going on and not having a clue of where to get materials. I learned that a hot glue is one of the greatest inventions EVER!
Saying goodbyes are always tough! These crazy guys were my friends, family and support during the crazy adventure that is Pre Service Training! We laughed, we cried, we got frustrated, we shared accomplishments and failures. Now we know we have each other for the rest of our lives. DOLORIAMBA for LIFE!
THE BIG DAY!! Honestly this all seems like a blur now. I vaguely remember the ambassador and country director having some awesome words to say. And that the MINED head called me out during the service for some reason, can't remember it now tough hahahaha. It was such a great moment as one of my dreams became official and I got to stand before important people, my trainers and my friends as we shook hands and recieved our PC pin. Here's to the beginning of my two year service!
